If memory serves right, the park was named Jawaharlal Nehru Park (there was already a more well-known Kamala Nehru park in Mumbai, situated similarly on a hill).
Although the park had been designed for tourists, there were no plaques describing the history of the fort, no mention of when it was built, no pictures showing what the various rooms might have looked like back in Shivaji's days.
