Kamet - Peakware World Mountain Encyclcopedia
Kamet is the second highest mountain in the Garhwal region, behind Nanda Devi.
Since then, Kamet has been climbed less frequently than other Garhwal mountains because it stands on the Chinese border, and requires Chinese permission, which is seldom granted.
Because it is situated north of the main range, Kamet receives less precipitation from the monsoon than mountains further south, so its valleys are comparatively barren.

KAMET is integrated with up-to-date literature, and seeks to be general, although it is mainly directed toward problems of diagnosis.
