Kamloops Trout of 15 to 18 pounds were being caught from lakes after the third year of stocking.
One set of eggs were hatched and raised at the normal stream temperatures around Kamloops and the second set were hatched and raised in waters 9 degrees warmer than would normally be expected in the local spawning streams.
Kamloops Trout in the five to 10 pound range are still caught but over the years most of our lakes have been over stocked at one time or another.

I hope I don't have to join Tiny Tim in eating my shorts on this one - Claude Richmond was a former socred but a moderate one at that and will be a fine MLA from Kamloops once again.
This my second post for this riding - I think the political historians in the crowd will confirm this but I beleive this riding has voted for the winning party in all elections since the fifties and even if this isn't true it will be colored Red come election night.
Kamloops has never failed to have a government member.

Brown took control of B.C. Teachers’ Federation assets and cash Thursday saying the union could still fund day-to-day business operations and its legal expenses but appointed a monitor to oversee the union’s finances to make sure her order stayed obeyed.
Ruth McDiarmid, president of the Kamloops and District Labour Council, said the protest was planned by the B.C. Federation of Labour as a way to support the teachers’ position.
