Onyumishi Kanjuro Shibata XX, Sensei (born 1921) is twentieth in a line of master bowmakers and a Kyudo teacher of the Heki Ryu Bishu Chikurin-ha tradition.
Shibata served as the Bowmaker to the Emperor of Japan from 1959 until 1994, when his adopted son, Nobuhiro, was recognized as the 21st in the Shibata lineage and assumed the duties of Imperial Bowmaker.
In Japan, Shibata became concerned that his students were too fixated on merely hitting the target, and were treating Kyudo as a sport rather than a meditative art.

In the mid 16th century the first Kanjuro Shibata lived in Kyushu, the southernmost of the four main islands of Japan and was the master bowmaker for the powerful Shimazu samurai clan.

Many of the Shibata have been master archers in the style of Bishu Chikurin of the school of Heki Ryu; in 1883 Kanjuro Shibata XVIII founded the dojo Taiyusha at Kyoto, where he and his successors were masters until its closing in 1991.

If the post is referring to Kanjuro Shibata XX, who is a kyudo teacher (and soke of his particular kyudo ryuha), I have no information in anything published about him, or what anyone (including Shibata Sensei himself) has told me, that he ever studied or taught Niten ichi ryu.

 Heki Ryu Bishu Chikurin-ha
The Heki school of archery was founded (circa 1483) by Heki Danjo Masatsugu and was the first organized school of combat style archery, as such it is a military as opposed to a ceremonial style, and was practiced by such legendary samurai as: Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu.
The Bishu Chikurin branch of Heki Ryu, developed by a Buddhist monk named Chikurinbu Josei, is now practiced around the world under its current headmaster Shibata Kanjuro XX, onyumishi (master bow maker) for the emperor, and founder of Zenko International.
Although developed from the classical battlefield systems of archery, the primary goal of kyudo is not to strike the target but simply to shoot.
