The National Coalition Party (Kansallinen Kokoomus or Samlingspartiet) is a political party in Finland.
Kokoomus was the party having the closest ties with the emerging Lapua Movement.
The party suffered division in the 1930s, in connection with the domestic Lapua Movement and the international fascism, when the Patriotic People's Movement (IKL) was formed of members disapproving Paasikivi's outspoken pro-democratic line.

The Center won nearly 20% and the Conservatives 18% of the vote in 1995.

The diverse multi-party coalition encompasses: Kansallinen Kokoomus (KOK, National Coalition Party), the Svenska Folkpartiet (SFP, Swedish People's Party), the Vasemmistoliitto (VL, Left Wing Alliance) and the Vihreä Liitto (Green Alliance).
Kansallinen Radikaalipuolue (KRP, National Radical Party), known as the Organization of National Unity before April 1991, was founded in 1985.
It has imported ideas from other countries in Europe, where intolerance towards foreigners and asylum-seekers has been a feature of the resurgence of the far right (although in Finland there has been little intolerance of asylum-seekers).

Most of the time the Suomen Sosiaalidemokraatinen Puolue (Finnish Social Democratic Party, SDP) is the largest party, but, with the exception of minority government in 1926-1927, the centre-right parties form the government.
The main centre-right parties are the Maalaisliito (Agrarians' League, ML), the conservative Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition, KOK) and the liberal Kansallinen Edistyspuolue (National Progress Party, KEP) as well as the Svenska Folkpartiet (Swedish People's Party, SFP).
The premiership rotates quickly between the leading parties and most prime minister hold office for a period shorter then a year.
