Japan Times: Kanto freezes Waseda for title   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-09)
The first half had seen the two teams cancel one another out, with Kanto Gakuin's defense holding firm every time Waseda looked like penetrating and, amazingly, for a game that traditionally is full of points, the two teams went into the break level at 0-0.
The Kanto fullback showed tremendous strength, speed and vision to put Tomoki Kitagawa away in the 58th minute and was again involved as Kanto killed the game as a contest when hooker Mitsugu Yamamoto powered over to put his side 26-0 up.
As the T-shirts worn by the Kanto Gakuin players proclaimed, as they did their lap of honor, it was a Victorious return to champion.

The 41st University Rugby Football Championship final was the fourth time in a row that Waseda University has taken on Kanto Gakuin University and this year it was Waseda that walked away with the silverware following its 31-19 win at Tokyo's National Stadium on Sunday.
And such has been their dominance of the university scene that the last time that neither of the two powerhouses featured in the final was 1995 -- Kanto winning five titles since to Waseda's two.
It was to their credit, therefore, that the Kanto players didn't allow Waseda to put the game beyond doubt until the 79th minute when Yuta Imamura (one of Waseda's standout players all year) raced away for his team's fifth try.

Four universities in Tokyo were handed a court order Thursday to return a total of 4.8 million yen in prepaid tuition fees to people who passed their entrance exams but did not enroll.
At issue is a provision in the universities' entrance application forms stipulating that the institutions will not refund any of the entrance or prepaid tuition fees, which applicants pay after passing the entrance exams.
The court also turned down refund demands from other plaintiffs who only notified the universities of their decision not to enroll after the academic year began on April 1, stating that they had already become students of the universities at that point.
