Kanumae who reproduce physically only with members of their own school are considered to be perverse by most Kanuma cultures, and of course the effects of inbreeding will be felt over time unless genetic engineering is used.
Kanuma intelligence and personality are mutable; they depend strongly on the capabilities of the individual members of the school as well as on the often unexpected side effects of various configurations.
Kanuma transapients are notorious for the frequency with which they choose to reject transapient life and disband, usually after they have accomplished some task (not always, of course, a task that can be easily explained to subsingularity intellects).

Kanuma, editor of Rwanda Newsline, received the award March 29 in Johannesburg, at the annual CNN African Journalist of the Year awards ceremony.
Kanuma won the Free Press-Africa Award for a commentary titled "How we are headed for doom: The arrogance that contributes to it all." It was published in his weekly newspaper last Nov. 13.
Kanuma said he accepted the award "in the hope it will help us to have the courage to stand up for our convictions and against future pressures." He received $3,500 and a laptop computer.

There are many grades of kanuma around: some sifted and some not, some very coarse(over 1/4" diameter) and some graded medium and/or small.

I tried pure kanuma before and it also retained too much water, particularly when I used the small grain size (1/8" to 1/4").
If you have it in pure Kanuma, you'll still need to be very careful with watering.
All in all, these are expensive soil components, but they work great for me. Also, using $15 worth of soil (hyuga, akadama and kanuma) rather than $3 (haydite, turface and pine bark) for a tree I've been working on for 18 years seems like false economics to me.
