Snow festival set for Osaka aquarium: Kaiyukan Aquarium in Minato Ward, Osaka, is inviting people to a snow festival that features a large field covered by natural snowflakes from Hyogo Prefecture on Sunday and from Friday to Feb. 13.
The snow field, measuring 18 meters by 14 meters in front of the aquarium building, contains about 80 tons of snow brought in from Hyogo's Yumura Onsen hot spring district and is open to all visitors.
There will also be a treasure hunt and a log-cutting competition for children and parents.
