		Before Prince of Persia, Karateka was Jordan Mechner's first published game, and it embodies the the "doing more with less" spirit that I appreciate about a well-made game.
		Long before computers had CD quality soundtracks and Pixar-quality cut scenes, Karateka was leading the way with smoothly animated 2D images which told a story with gestures and short musical cues.
		As for dealing with Mariko at the end, you'll need to know that she will not recieve you kindly if you are in your agressive fighting stance; stand at full height and run to her arms and she'll embrace you instead of killing you.
