Seitz entered history in 1918, when Austria-Hungary was breaking down and its disintegration into smaller independent nation states was becoming manifest.

Karl Seitz openly supports social democracy and is dismissed from the teaching profession in 1897 because of his social democratic activities.
He is arrested shortly after the unsuccessful assassination attempt on July 20, 1944, brought to Berlin from Vienna and eventually committed to Ravensbrück concentration camp.
Karl Seitz survives there until the end of the war and returns to Vienna in the spring of 1945.

Lacrosse team in the early 1960s, played at Yale in the mid 60s and played club Lacrosse thereafter for Long Island Lacrosse Club, New York Lacrosse Club, Westchester County Lacrosse Club, Columbia University Lacrosse Club and a variety of clubs in the Long Island Summer Lacrosse League.
Karl had thought that his Lacrosse days were over until he was informed, by a rugby-playing friend, in 2001, that Jenny had put an ad in the paper asking if anybody was interested in starting a Lacrosse club.
Karl said the one of the committee's hardest decisions had been deciding on who should receive the "Best Referee" award.
