		The highlight of the Karluk fishery is the silver salmon run which begins in late August and continues throughout the month of September.
		The end of the Karluk River before it dumps into the ocean is a long tidal lagoon from which a lot of the fishing is done by boat.
		Guests are greeted at the Karluk Airfield by camp operators and transferred to the lodge by vehicle.
