Karma (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Karma, real name Xi'an "Shan" Coy Mahn, is a fictional character, a mutant superhero from Marvel Comics, and is notable as one of their few lesbian characters.
In the Age of Apocalypse, Karma was Angel’s assistant, helping him manage his nightclub called Heaven’s, and keeping a neutral stance in the civil war between Apocalypse’s loyal followers, the mutants openly disagreeing with him, and the human population trying to survive.
Karma kept mum as long as she could but, when the Shadow King was released on her, she gave away the desired information, before dying of the torture.

Karma (Sanskrit: कर्म from the root kri, "to do", meaning deed) or Kamma (Pali: meaning action, effect, destiny) is a term in several Indian religions that comprises the entire cycle of cause and effect.
Karma literally means "deed" or "act" and more broadly names the universal principle of cause and effect, action and reaction which governs all life.
Karma is related to the notion of Buddhist rebirth - sometimes understood to be the same thing as reincarnation - which has its roots in the principle of Karma.

Phoenix v4: Karma Review - manga reviews, manga news, manga information, manga comics, manga webcomics, manga artists, ...
Karma is, far and away, the most beautifully illustrated of all the Phoenix volumes.
Don’t misunderstand, Karma is on a whole other level from other entertainment of the same score, but it still disappointed when compared to the general level of excellence of the series.
Karma is still a thoroughly satisfying and uplifting story, not nearly a stumbling block for the series, but it just lacks the perfection of the past couple volumes.

Without independent comics, a lot of the most iconic figures in the industry would never have gotten the chance to be seen.
Within indie comics, you have a large artistic community creating stories completely unfettered by all the fears that come with a large audience and a large publisher.

When Karma (whose real name is Xi'an Coy Manh) was introduced, she was portrayed by New Mutants creator Chris Claremont as a devout, churchgoing Catholic.

Karma Incorporated is not the most solid, well-planned comic I’ve read.
The main problem with this is that we don’t know anything about Karma Inc. We aren’t given much time to admire the mischief Karma Inc. manufactures, and the inherent humor behind this angle of the concept.
We’re asked much too quickly to judge Karma Inc. for what they do, or empathize with them for hating it, when we haven’t really watched them in action, or seen any of the risks of the job.

Hopkins surely had some fun himself while coming up with the story and the world of Karma Inc., though the end result is quite different from the initial premise he concocted when starting work on the script.
Yet, Karma Inc. ultimately found a home at Viper, which, appears to be the place where the writer/creator wanted his project to end up all along.

Question 31 from "The Soul-Winner's Handy Guide"
Some Eastern religions and philosophies hold on to the belief that life is a process of birth, death and rebirth in which one's station in life depends on one's karma or the works he had done in his past life.
Thirdly, life's suffering is not the result of bad past karma but rather in accordance to the foreknowledge and purpose of God.
Some people are born blind, deaf or retarded, not because of some bad, past karma but because God may want to restrain them from their destructive potential or He may use such handicaps to help these people come to know Him.

Coming this summer, "Karma Incorporated" is a new mini-series about a team of people who balance the scales, from the minds of writer David Hopkins and artist Tom Kurzanski.
The premise of "Karma Incorporated" in some ways seems to advocate the idea of "an eye for an eye" and that isn't accidental, explains Hopkins.
The first issue of "Karma Incorporated" teases at a lot of long-term plot lines and it almost seems too much to finish in three issues, though Hopkins says it wraps up neatly.
