 Sixth Campaign for Registeration of Children in Schools in Kassala State Launched
Kassala, May 19 (SUNA)- The Wali (governor) of Kassala State, engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid, has attended the the launching of the sixth state's campaign for admission of children, especially girls, in schools.
The campaign is organized by the Girl Education Department at the Ministry of Education in the state, under the slogan "Education is a Right to All".
The Wali praised all the organs which participated in boosting the educational programmes in the state, renewing the government's commitment to support the educational process.

June 11, 2006 (KASSALA, eastern Sudan) — Kassala State’s Government has received Hameshkorieb area form Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) Sunday in the framework of the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).
Present on the occasion were representative of Kassala State government and Minister of Culture and Information, Mustafa Hassan Mustafa, the Commissioner of Hamesh Koreb Locality Ahmed Bittay, the representative of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), Colonel Makou Loung, and commandor of the UN forces in Sudan.
Meanwhile, the representative of the national administration in Hamesh Koreb area, Ahmed Omer, tackled the role of the SPLA in the improvement of the environment and keeping security in the area.
