	The religion of Katana (Tatsu Yamashiro) of the Outsiders
		Katana trained as a Samurai under the master Tadashi, and that tutelege may be the principle source of Katana's allegiance to Bushido.
		Katana's identity and "power" as a superheroine is strongly tied to her mystical sword, which is named Soultaker.
		Katana had to fight them all and after a long battle that took its toll, Katana was able to reclaim the Soultaker and kill Takeo, and she could finally put an end to some of her ghosts.

		In an origin contrived even by super hero comics standards, Batman and the Outsiders all meet in the foreign country of Markovia where they happen to be strolling around at the same time and place.
		He tells Katana he’ll help her protect her secret identity (which is laughable considering how little effort Batman takes to protect his identity from these people, even before he knew them well — Immediately upon concluding their first adventure he takes them to the Batcave and tells them that Bruce Wayne finances Batman).
		Levitz’ JSA was a divided family, not in the Tolstoy sense, because this was a 1970's super-hero comic and things always worked out well, or at least relatively well, in the end, but in the "we have issues to sort out but in the end we'll be friends" sense.

		The story was great, and the art, as usual, was fantastic; but it gets two silver bullets for the fact that Jeph Loeb has President Lex Luthor hooking up with the head of Meta Human affairs.
		That had to be the single most disgusting scene in comics.

		The book has it's critics but I think its the best book ever written on the subject and my thanks goes out to John Buscema and Stan Lee for creating it.
