I’ve been maintaining a Tumblr blog in semi-secret over the past 3 months, and I’ve decided to move katelikesyou.com over to that site.

Our only difference is that she can afford 100 pairs of Tom Ford sunglasses, and I can not.

Along with Wilson and Pierson, Keith Strickland, Ricky Wilson (Cindy's older brother) and Fred Schneider formed the band after a drunken night at a Chinese restaurant.
Their sound is particularly marked by the vocals of Wilson and Pierson, with Kate singing in a slightly deeper voice, along with the generally monotone or spoken-word vocals of Schneider.
Continuing to be busy through 1990, Pierson lent her vocals to Iggy Pop's song "Candy," which gave him his first (and only) Hot 100/Top 40 hit.

When she’s not trilling for lobster in the world of rock, Pierson is a quiet, somewhat shy songstress with a unique voice and charming stage presence.
Highlights of Pierson’s performance included “Ride,” a quintessentially American song about a love affair with a car, and “I Think It’s Going To Rain Today,” a Randy Newman gem introduced by Pierson as one of the songs left off a Dusty Springfield tribute album.
Pierson and Moore were excellent, but it was Dorsey, with her powerful, mesmerizing presence and mellifluous voice, who seized the stage most palpably.

Fire officials in Athens-Clarke county are investigating the possibility of arson at the cabin, once inhabited by band member Kate Pierson.
The B-52's were famous in the 1980s for their unusual hairpieces and highly original and catchy pop tunes.
But Mats Sexton, author of a book on the B-52's, said Ms Pierson told him many of the band's early songs - including Rock Lobster, the title track of their first album - were created in the now gutted cabin.

Pierson, Janovitz and Parker took the stage looking like they were having the times of their lives, appearing not at all bothered by the fact that the tiny venue was less than half full.
Pierson's unmistakable voice on "I'm in Love" (originally recorded by the Fourmost) and "Love of the Loved" (by Cilla Black) showed the true timelessness of these classics.
Not content to simply re-record the songs as originally done, some were re-invented, such as the reggae version of "Tip of My Tongue" fronted by Parker (does anyone really remember the original version by Tommy Quickly?).
