I gather that the Daily Mail last week said that Katie Derham is going to be the presenter of the new London news programme as Mary Nightingale had "won" the battle to be top dog on the Evening News.
I actually prefer Katie Derham to Mary Nightingale, but Katie should stick to national news programmes as she is very good.
To be honest I prefer Katie Derham as a newsreader than Mary Nightingale, as she always sounds like she's going to cry, plus Katie and Mark make a good team on the Evening News.
