| | HK Foodie - Another SE Asian favourite: KATONG |
 | | It is a mixture of cucumber, pineapple, mango, turnip, fried doughstick (yau tiu), all mixed together with a dark, semi-sweet soy-based sauce, and sprinkled with peanuts and chopped chillis. |
 | | I really enjoy Katong's version of rojak, as the amount of sauce is just right and does not smother the fruits and yau tiu (as it so often does in Singapore). |
 | | Katong also serves a couple of local desserts: tau suan and cheng tng (neither of which I am a fan). |
