Scenic World is a popular privately-owned tourist attraction located at the southern end of the town of Katoomba in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia, about 100 kilometers west of Sydney.
The Scenic Railway is reputedly the steepest cable-driven funicular railway in the world, with an incline of 52 degrees, over a distance of 415 metres.
The original Scenic Skyway was removed early in 2004 and was replaced by a new cable car that opened in December of that year, built by Doppelmayr and CWA Constructions.

Scenic World is a multi-faceted attraction built around the Jamison Valley rainforest.
It's such a large photo that I have had to stash it on a separate page, where I have also included the standard Scenic Railway joke.
At the base of the Scenic Railway is the start of the boardwalk (1.2 miles in total) which leads through the genuine Jurassic rainforest.

The website (www.pilatus.com/index_e.html) gives the figure as 48%, and claims it to be the steepest rack railway in the world, which is obviously what I must have had in mind.
There is a funicular in the Italian part of Switzerland, which I seem to recall claims to be the steepest passenger carrying funicular in the world, too.

Age 12 I went on the "scenic railway" and have no memories of it being scenic.
I too baulked at going on the scenic railway, but it was the cost that put me off.

however, I believe a little research will prove that The Incline Railway is the steepest (though not knowing the linear distance your railway runs, it may be the longest at that grade.) On further study of the data you list...
I suggest additional study but the railway you display is no less attractive because of the misinformation.

I had fun riding the Katoomba Scenic Railway, "the steepest incline railway in the world." There were beautiful crimson rosellas everywhere.
Also fun is the railway which is a bit more like a rollercoaster as it descends at and angle of up to 45* making it one of the steepest in the world, we got talking to the driver and he let us travel up and down a few times for free.
If you are not so energetic the cable or the much more exciting funicular railway are a nice way to get to the bottom.
