 Philosophy Katsunuma Winery
We are pursuing a perpetual dream to bring out the latent potential of Koshu grapes nurtured in the Japanese climate and to directly confront challenges.
While respecting the many local wine makers of the world, we pursue the maximization of the wine making potential of the Japanese natural climate, and we are striving to produce our locally fermented Katsunuma wine which is made within the local climate and culture, and which cannot be made anywhere else.
With this belief in our winery, while we pay due respect to the history of Katsunuma's viniculture and wine making, we believe that it is time to boldly put an end to out-dated wine making systems in order to blaze a new path in wine making in Katsunuma, Japan, and produce internationally competitive wines.
