Ms Gallagher has told the Legislative Assembly a sixth resident of the Jindalee Nursing Home died overnight, and dozens of others are still battling the illness.
She says health authorities are working to prevent the further spread of the illness.

Katy Gallagher MLA was pleased today to join with the Youth Coalition in launching the Coloured Kit which is a support kit for young people with a parent with mental illness or dual diagnosis.
“Research suggests that approximately 35 per cent of mental health services clients were female parents of dependent children under the age of 18,” Launching the Kit Ms Gallagher said many of these children and young people had historically been hidden in the community and excluded from information, support services and resources.
She said the Coloured Kit was the product of a project undertaken by the Youth Coalition of the ACT and the Children of Parents with a Mental Illness Project, Mental Health ACT.

A program has re-commenced to help parents who are concerned their children are carrying too much weight.
The Minister for Children and Youth, Katy Gallagher MLA said FEAT, or Families Eating and Active Together, is a six-week program coordinated by the Gungahlin Child and Family Centre and ACT Health.
"The program was held for the first time late last year, helping parents to deal — in a family context — with children who have developed weight problems," Ms Gallagher said.
