Kavitrayam is a (A Dravidian language spoken by the Telugu people in southeastern India) Telugu expression for trinity of poets.
Kavitrayam popularly refers to the poets who translated the great epic ((Hinduism) a sacred epic Sanskrit poem of India dealing in many episodes with the struggle between two rival families) Mahabharata into (A Dravidian language spoken by the Telugu people in southeastern India) Telugu.
Nannayya, popularly hailed as Adi Kavi or the first poet, belonged to (Click link for more info and facts about Rajamundry) Rajamundry, an ancient city on the banks of river (Click link for more info and facts about Godavari) Godavari.

 The Hindu : Andhra Pradesh News : TTD to hold `sadassu' on Mahabharatam
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) which is in the process of bringing out a lucid edition of `Kavitraya' Mahabharatham would after its completion by coming Ugadi organise sadassus on Mahabharatham in all major centres of the State.
"Besides popularising the Kavitrayam's magnum opus, the Mahabharatham, our aim is to ensure that its inherent and hidden treasure of knowledge and nuances reached the public," said Ajeya Kallam, Executive Officer of the TTD.
Reviewing the work apace to bring out the edition through the TTD's Mahabharatham project, the EO said that three volumes have been already completed vis a vis `Arsha Vignana Sarwasvam', another major publication project underway.

Had there been no change-over to vyAvahArika bhAsha from > grAndhika bhAsha, we would have been reading all literature in > VSN style of language and we would have missed a good deal of literature How much do we know about pre-VSN (to be precise pre-chi.soori) times?
Lets skip kavitrayam, Srinatha and like and lets just stick to last 150 years.
Surely you 'd have heard of CPBrown and his contributions to Telugu, I guess.

My irritation about these cartoons has been festering for quite some I can't help but make the comparison with American cartoons or the=20 old Punch cartoons which are often both funny and insightful, thus=20 "exploding" at just the right pitch.
In Telugu (I exaggerate of course) there seem to be about 3 cartoons, all created by some = cartoon-equivalent of kavitrayam.
And all other cartoons are simply retellings of these=20 three cartoons.=20 Am I the only one who feels this way?

If somebody doesn't verify Tikkana by then, I'll certainly verify.
Is Kavitrayam the ultimate authority on Maha Bharatam?
But I would put more weight on it than the modern prose versions.

In fact, even translating these excellent non-religious works into Telugu also did not take place well enough.
I believe that they thought it is beneath their dignity to translate the work of say, Chanakya, which has things about how to fine people that do not keep roads clean; instead, the kavitrayam chose a later work called mahabharata.
I think Vemana is the only exception in Telugu.
