According to Kawai Europe, the new action is an attempt to replicate the one on the company's Concert Grand EX acoustic pianos, with the same static and dynamic weighting, and sure enough, compared with the former AWA Grand III, the MP9500's AWA Grand Pro action is five grammes heavier to play, according to Kawai's figures.
