KOrganizer moved into the kdepim module shortly before KDE 2.0 which was released in October 2000.
At the beginning of 2003 after a meeting of many of the core kdepim developers in Osnabrueck, Germany, KMail was moved into the kdepim CVS module, now combining all major components of Kontact in one module.
Since then kdepim is working towards the next release which will be Kontact 1.0.

After kdebase and kdelibs it's the third biggest KDE module and it's becoming more and more complex to work on kdepim because of the sophisticated intra-module dependencies.
Additionally there is some code in kdelibs which is closely associated to kdepim in kdelibs (kresources and kabc).
The new module would follow the same policies and release schedules as kdelibs, and other modules would be allowed to depend on it.

KDE moved alot of things around from one package to the other which has presented problems when trying to update from one set of rpms to the other.
One note, kdepim is going to require some gpg rpms from stable as I included support for gpg signing in kmail.

 Why Does apt-get Want to Uninstall KDE?
The kdepim is a meta=20 package as well so is not really needed and apt thinks you are using the=20 testing/sarge branch thus wants to uninstall it.
The other two are old=20 versions that no longer in the archive and will be replaced by packages=20 that you are installing now because the names have changed.
