Kedyw (acronym for Kierownictwo Dywersji, Polish Directorate of Sabotage and Diversion; probably also a play on the Turkish "khedive," which translates into Polish as kedyw): a Polish World War II Armia Krajowa organization that specialized in active and passive sabotage, propaganda and armed action against German forces and collaborators.
Kedyw was created on January 22, 1943, from two pre-existing Armia Krajowa organizations: Związek Odwetu, and Wachlarz.
Kedyw organized weapon and munition factories, military schools, intelligence, counter-intelligence, field hospitals, and a communication network.

We, in Kedyw, were relatively well armed with captured weapons and a few Thompson guns from parachute drops.
According to the plan, having secured the stores, we were to march to the PKO building in the city centre and place ourselves at the disposal of General ‘Monter’, the commander of the Rising.

The High Command consisted of 31 staff units, of which the most important were the organizational section, the operations section with its separate department of information and intelligence, communications section, the Command of Diversion (KEDYW), the Section of Military Bureau (Portfolio), and the Bureau of Information and Propaganda.
For example, one of the units of KEDYW was the BRODA Brigade, which consisted of 20 officers, 43 officers in training, 64 non-commissioned officers, 344 privates, 79 women, and 113 auxiliaries.
While KEDYW fought mostly in larger cities there was in the countryside a large organization of guerrilla units based on the regional structure of the Home Army.

During the Night polish strike to brake the ring around the Old town commences with a strike team trying to attack german positions on the Bankowy Plaza from the rear via sewer but the attack is repulsed.
Some wounded are beeing evacuated by the sewers and Polish troops are preapering themselfs to breakthrught the German ring around the Old Town and winthraw to the Srodmiescie.

Emil Fieldorf, the legendary commander of the AK Sabotage Headquarters (Kedyw), was a guest of at the facility when the NKVD first arrested him in 1945.
Unrecognized, from there he was sent to a camp in Rembertów and then on to Siberia.
