NG-KE Kebbi State is a state in north-western Nigeria.
The state is bordered by the new Sokoto State, Niger State, and Benin, and has a total land area of 36,800 km².
Kebbi State is divided into 21 local government areas, four emirate councils (Gwandu, Argungu, Yauri and Zuru), and 35 districts.

Three journalists attached to the Kebbi State Government House were at the end of June seriously beaten by policemen under instruction from the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Raymond Ede.
The journalists, Alhaji Shittu Tella, the Kebbi State Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Yunusa Garba, a Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) correspondent; and Mallam Ahmed Talib, of the Kebbi State owned radio had gone to Ambursa town, where the state governor was attending the launching of this year's fertilizer distribution.
The state NUJ subsequently gave a seven-day ultimatum within which the state police command was to apologise without which the journalists promised to take appropriate action.

In Rivers State, the ANPP Gubernatorial candidate, Sergeant Awuse and his House of Representatives counterpart, Pat Ajudua, have filed separate motions at the Election Tribunal sitting in Port Harcourt, asking that they be allowed access to poling documents.
The Kebbi State Tribunal, which will commence sitting next week, has also received six petitions from PDP candidates against their ANPP opponents, challenging the credibility of their election into the National Assembly.
