In Egyptian mythology, Kebechet (spelt in Hieroglyphs as Qeb-Hwt, and also transliterated as Kebhut, Kebehut, Qébéhout, and Kabechet) was the deification of embalming liquid, her name meaning cooling water.
Such liquid was seen as the child of Anubis, in the area where Kebechet was considered to exist, and consequently Kebechet was seen as his daughter.
