Nabataea: 12 Tribes of Ishamel: Nabajoth
Previous to this, Assyrian records tell us of King Ashurbanipal (668-663 BC) who was fighting with the 'Nabaiateans of Arabia.' Then in 703 BC a group of Chaldaeans and neighboring tribes rebelled against Sennacherib, the Assyrian ruler.
The ancient records of Tiglath Pilezeer III list, among the rebels, the Hagaranu (possibly the descendants of Hagar, the mother of Ishmael), the Nabatu (very possibly the descendants of Nebayoth, the eldest son of Ishmael) and the Kedarites (descendants of Ishmael's second son).
In 652 BC conflict broke out between these two brothers, and in support of the Babylonian king, the Kedarites invaded western Assyria, were defeated, and fled to Natnu the leader of the Nabayat for safety.

It is possible that David (as) wrote this Psalm, although many researchers suggest that it was written by Asaph.
It is also possible that David (as) was an ancestor of Imam Hussein (as) through a marriage contracted when he was a refugee among the Arab Kedarites, from whom the prophet Muhammad (as) is descended.
Whether or not the prophet sees Imam Hussein (as) as a son, his anguish is similar to that of those who are horrified in all generations by the suffering he went through.

While he was successful in identifying many of Genesis' personal names as appearing in 2d millennium BCE contexts, he hit a brick wall with "Cain."  His research concluded that Cain, Hebrew qayin/qyn was most probably derived from a South Arabic onomastic environment.
The earliest attested appearance of qyn as a personal name was Qaynu, son of Geshem, a king of the Kedarites, who opposed Nehemiah's rebuilding of Jerusalem's walls in the 5th century BCE.
Hess was able to identify qyn as an "administrator's title" in Old South Arabic inscriptions, it appearing in Sabaean and Qatabanian inscriptions of the 1st millennium BCE.  He also noted that epigraphic sources for the Old South Arabian inscriptions do not exist for 2d millennium BCE times.

This passage DOES NOT say that the "new song" will be in the language of the Kedarites or the langauge of Sela and DOES NOT say that a Prophet will arise from Kedar.

Kedarites are mentioned many times in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Nehemiah and the word itself is a word that means flness.
The word is defined as "dusky (of the skin OR THE TENT); Kedar." And we know that these people dwelled in tents (Psalms 120:5).
And the woman in Soloman simply verifies this by saying she's as dark as the tents of the Kedarites.

[b-hebrew] Amalekites exist OUTSIDE the scripture sources???
I would very much like to see the Amalekites attested in ANE sources.
Other desert peoples, such as the Meunites, the Kedarites, the Ithureans and perhaps the Nabateans are.
But in this case, I just don't see the evidence as convincing.
