		The connection with the USA is thought to be General Lafayette who recommended a keep right rule as part of the help that he gave the Americans in the build up to the war of Independence.
		The first reference to keep right in USA law is in a rule covering the Lancaster to Philadelphia turnpike in 1792.
		If this is the case then you would keep to the right so that it is easier to reach the bank.

		Weston-super-mare was the destination for today, so we stopped in the surrounding countryside near a place called Brean, not the nicest of places (at all!) but the campsite was pretty much perfect, though run by a farmer it was far better (and cheaper) than some of the 'holiday villages' we'd driven past.
		We cut in to Lake Windemere as it was the most accessible - we took a quick photo and left (as we hadn't paid and displayed!) We also stopped off at the Sellafield Nuclear Power station, but it was after hours and there wasn't much to see.
		We'd left it too late to look round Edinburgh so we scythed straight through the middle of it.

		Keep Left's selection seems to represent-- at least to some extent-- the taste of Barsamian and his AR cohorts Tonya Loendorf and Joe Richey, which evidently tends toward the atmospheric, and away from the rocking.
		However, most of these tracks seem somehow appropriate to AR's oeuvre, whether obviously so (as in the case of Negativland), or because so many of them were recorded or mixed at the respective artist's home, outside of certain spheres of influence.
		Still, there's a lot of good, unavailable stuff on Keep Left, and on the merits of the music alone, it's well worth picking up.
