Onkaparinga River National Park is in South Australia (Australia), 32 km south of Adelaide also incorporates the Onkaparinga River Recreation Park.
One section of the Onkaparinga Gorge is pretty much untouched by man and has the full range of native plants (grasses/spiny bushes/eucalyptus tree canopy) and the other is a previously cleared area undergoing reforestation.
Onkaparinga Gorge has some very steep terrain, following the car trail on foot leads to almost 45 degree inclines, but it has a nice creek at the bottom (see picture).
