		Keith was born and raised in Leeds and after studying A-level art at school with a view to attending Art College instead took a degree in mechanical engineering at Leeds University.
		He believes strongly in the stimulus of working directly from the subject but is currently developing a series of pictures which reflect on contemporary urban life and touch upon his industrial background and is finding here that photographic and camcorder material is providing valuable supplementary reference.
		Keith now lives in Knaresborough and is married with a grown-up son and daughter.

		My good friend Keith Lowe got the Leelanau habit as a child when his parents Don (retired exec at the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan) and Emily (retired music prof at Eastern Michigan University) purchased land there in the 60's and built a cabin.
		In the early 80's Keith purchased property just off Glen Lake and I think he is waiting for retirement to build on it, but his parents still have their cabin and that is where I visited with Keith during this trip.
		Keith Mann also is a long-time friend of Keith Lowe and has been visiting Leelanau even longer than I have.

		This is all a tad difficult to swallow, especially since the fiance seems to be quite a catch, but once you accept the premise, the novel is well-written.
