KELLEYS ISLAND -- Police are investigating complaints of counterfeit Kelleys Island Ferry Boat Line tickets, which led them to A Water's Edge Retreat bed and breakfast on Kelleys Island, according to Kelleys Island and Marblehead police.
Kelleys Island Ferry Boat Line manager Paula Moody said she was aware that the complaints were made by the business but did not want to comment.
Kelleys Island Ferry Boat Line round-trip tickets can be purchased for $11 per person, $6 per child and $22 per car.

Neuman's Kellys Island Ferry (800-876-1907, 6 a.m.-11 p.m.) leaves on the half hour during peak hours, and the Kelleys Island Boat Line (888-225-4325 6 a.m.-11 p.m.) leaves on the hour.

Jason Todd Lasalle, 24, of 2130 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, was piloting a 1980 Cessna 152 single-engine plane owned by Daviation Inc. of Willoughby that veered off the south side of Runway 27, flipped and landed on its top, according to the release.
Lasalle was enroute to Kelleys Island from Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland and was attempting to land at the Kelleys Island Municipal Airport, according to the release.

The Kelleys Island Landowners Association, which sponsored the petitions, asked Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell this week to order the Erie County Board of Elections to reprint the ballots for the Nov. 8 election and correct the errors.
