Kelowna states that it is currently negotiating a charter contract with Red Seal Vacations Ltd. doing business as Sunwing (hereinafter Sunwing) and in anticipation of a successful contract, Kelowna requests an exemption from paragraph 18(c) of the ATR based on the revised design sketch submitted.
Kelowna has requested clarification of the Agency's previous exemption granted to Kelowna by Order No. 2003-A-458 wherein condition No. 1 states that the name "Sunwing", displayed on the side of the aircraft, should be no larger than the name "Kelowna".
Kelowna shall ensure that it is clearly identified as the operator of the air service in all public solicitations and representations (including invoices and tickets issued) by Kelowna and Sunwing in respect of services contracted between them.

Kelowna Flightcraft flight 300 (KFA300), a Douglas DC-3C, serial number 32963, was on a night visual flight rules flight from Vancouver International Airport, British Columbia, to Victoria International Airport.
The subsequent impact with the terrain and the post-crash fire are characteristic of an accident that is not survivable.
The Kelowna Flightcraft company operations manual was amended on 14 January 1999 to reflect the restrictive conditions imposed on night visual flight rules (VFR) flight by CAR 705.32.

Dean Newhouse (Kelowna Flightcraft) says that the Kelowna Flightcraft Master Executive Council is using its website to disseminate information about fire damage and aftermath and about a fundraiser that was held during the first week in September.
He noted, as this magazine was going to press, that the disaster was not over, that some 30 families from that airline were still evacuated, and that the fire was less than half contained.
Newhouse added that the Kelowna Flightcraft MEC has been working closely with carrier officials to provide needed assistance and used e-mail to search for temporary lodging for the displaced families.

A U.S. Air Force crew's quick action may have prevented a South Pacific ditching by the crew of a Canadian cargo aircraft.
The Kelowna Flightcraft Convair 580 was on a delivery flight from the company's base in Kelowna, British Columbia, to Palmerston North, New Zealand, when the crew, two Canadians and a Kiwi, realized they were far off course.
On the last leg of the flight, from Pago Pago in American Samoa, the crewmembers realized something was out of sync when their navigation gear said they were over New Zealand but there was nothing but deep blue sea under them.
