		Kemper Military School and College was founded as The Kemper Family School on Monday, June 3, 1844.
		Kemper was induced to move to Boonville in the spring of 1844.
		In 1856, the school was temporarily closed when Professor Kemper accepted a teaching and administrative position at the newly established Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, and also served as the professor in the Greek language.
