Ken Akamatsu (赤松健 Akamatsu Ken) is a manga artist, born in Kanagawa prefecture, Japan, on July 5, 1968.

Anyway, it's made clear from early on that Keitaro and the deceptively bookish Naru are the couple to watch.
Akamatsu obviously intends for Naru to be a "complex" character, but what he tries to pass off as complexity is in fact little more than unpredictable, violent mood swings.
Akamatsu should have made Keitaro a total bastard; making him a sympathetic figure, even infrequently, gets me to hope for one thing out of this series, but then Akamatsu dashes my hopes repeatedly.

One of the book's running gags features Keitaro accidentally falling against or groping one of his female friends, for which he is inevitably knocked silly, but that's as risqu‚ as things get.
