Kendrick Meek is a key member of a new generation of leaders who are setting a higher standard in public service and political leadership.
Meek was selected by Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi as the first freshman member of the 108th Congress to serve on the House Select Committee on Homeland Security, where he now serves as the Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Management, Integration and Oversight.
Meek is the current Chair of the Board of Directors of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, a non-partisan, non-profit, public policy, research and educational institute founded by members of the Congressional Black Caucus in 1976.
