DVD review of Kennedy - DVD Town   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08)
“Kennedy” features three parts, the first of which concentrates on the 1960 presidential campaign, the second on the Civil Rights movement, Vietnam, and the moon race, and the third on the Cuban Missile Crisis and Kennedy’s fateful trip to Dallas.
Given the age of the video, and the fact that it was made for television, the picture quality is quite good—the colors distinct and not blurred, and the delineation of lights and darks clear and precise, even in low-lit moments.
Though the extras are in fl and white, full-screen, and showing their age, the fact that they are included at all provides a means for viewers to compare moments in the film and the filmmaker’s “take” on history to the actual events.

OT: Our Town is a documentary that follows the plight of a group of Dominguez High School kids that are going to stage Wilder's Our Town in a terribly under funded school that is primarily only known for it's gangsta rappers and basketball players.
The cool part about "OT: Our Town" is that the director, Scott Hamilton Kennedy, could have easily edited these kids into a contrived little story about putting on Wilder's play and how it taught them and the community to appreciate the little things.
Kennedy also used an ingenious technique: he shuffled the kids' rehearsals with scenes from the 1977 Hal Holbrook TV production of "Our Town" to add some coherency to the movie.
