History of Willesden & Brondesbury Synagogue
Furthermore, it was becoming clear that the bulk of the membership was not coming from the Kensal Rise and Harlesden areas, but from the newly built estates in Willesden Green.
This was, however, just when the Ecclesiastical Commissioners were improving access to their estates, 'Chamberlayne Road linked Kilburn Lane with the new Kensal Rise station Salusbury Road opened up the other end of Kilburn Lane to the Avenue'.
Nonetheless, a meeting in 1923 of residents at the Crown Hotel, Cricklewood, decided to build their own synagogue under the name of the Willesden Green and Cricklewood Synagogue, the name it retained until it became a Constituent Synagogue of the United Synagogue in 1931, and was called the Cricklewood Synagogue.

BUG backpackers hostel reviews Millennium Lodge
This large hostel opposite Kensal Green tube station has nice common areas, which include a bar/restaurant, TV lounge, Internet access and a small gym, but the kitchen is tiny and poorly equipped.
It's not, as has been remarked by other reviewers, out of the way: Kensal Green tube station, which is also served by Silverlink trains to Euston, is directly opposite (zone 2).
Outside the lodge you can jump on a bus or catch a tube into town, similarly, aim your pushbike down the hill, or even walk, if you're not in any great hurry.

Brent and Harrow Green Party - Letter to Willesden & Wembley Observers
But this week, upon exiting Kensal Green tube station, I witnessed two British Transport police officers attempting to deal with a situation involving a young man.
Seeing him close to tears out of self-pity, I appealed to the officers that if they released him I would personally refund whatever he felt owed to him and everybody could go their separate ways.
The officers had chanced upon this man moments earlier when they took exception to his quarrel with a ticket cashier about how to apply for a refund.
