Kensington is in an ideal location for tourism, being close to the CBD and on a direct bus route to the airport, close to local beaches and other attractions such as the racecourse and NIDA.

By 1938 the company was in the position to purchase H.L. Cross and Co. and relocated to the heart of the city on the corner of Martin Place and Pitt Street.
L.J. Hooker went through a period of upheaval for a time, and in January 1990, L.J. Hooker Limited was purchased by the Queensland based Suncorp Metway Limited.
In 1996 L.J. Hooker purchased the Challenge Realty Group in New Zealand and in 1998 they rebranded them literally overnight as L.J. Hooker.

A new scale (the Directiveness scale) was proposed as a more valid measure of authoritarianism than the F-scale.
Duckitt (1983) has recently extended the findings with the Directiveness scale to show that the scale does not predict negative attitudes towards homosexuality (in contrast with the F-scale).

The formulae are proven for two population models for which, (i) two fisheries catch fish from a common, homogeneously - mixed population, and (ii) two fisheries catch fish from separate grounds (fish may migrate between grounds).

Here we report the first monotreme from outside the Australian continent, an ornithorhyn-chid, from sediments of late early Palaeocene age in Patagonia, southern Argentina.
This discovery demonstrates the Gondwanan nature of monotremes and supports the hypothesis that the Patagonian Terrane of southern South America had a biotic history distinct from that of the rest of the continent.

Abstract Gametophyte development and embryogeny is described in Phyllocladus trichom- anoides D. Don for the first time, and the proem- bryo of P. asplenifolius var.
The three New Zealand species typ- ically have a strongly thickened megaspore mem- brane, two large elongated and deeply embedded archegonia containing an enlarged egg nucleus, conspicuously unequal male gamete nuclei, and one or both prothallial nuclei free in the pollen tube.
Proembryogeny in both the species investigated conforms to the pattern established for a wide range of genera in the Podocarpaceae, resulting in a three- tiered proembryo in which all the cells of the E tier are binucleate.
