Kent is a Swedish rock band founded in Eskilstuna in 1990, with the name Coca-Cola Kids, later Jones and Giftet (Jones and the Poison), and Havsänglar (Sea angels).
In the band's logotype, the 'k' is lower-case using the Avant Garde fonttype.
Kent hadn't toured for several months when it was announced that they would do one single performance in 2003, on June 6, the Swedish national day, in Stockholms Stadion which holds a crowd of 30,000.

Kent Kaled was born and raised in Chicago's Englewood area and is a lifetime "south-sider," White Sox fan, and Old Style drinker.
He started his musical quest early in life, playing trombone for the school band and singing in the church choir at Visitation grammar school and then switching to the bass guitar during the transition from grade school to high school.
The first "real" band that Kent played with was "Northwind," an 8-piece horn band that primarily did covers of "Chicago," "Blood, Sweat and Tears," and various other brass rock bands.

Landmarks off the North Kent coast were celebrated by brass bands from all over Britain on September 14th 2002 in Birmingham's Symphony Hall, where the 150th Anniversary of the first-ever Open Brass Band Championships took place.
The competing bands' new test piece is entitled The Maunsell Forts, and was commissioned by the BBC from John McCabe, who came to live in the Swale area of Kent two years ago.
The new band piece, which is dedicated to Gary and Kate, was written after a boat trip around three of them - Knock John, Shivering Sands and Red Sands - leaving from the North Kent coast, from where, on a clear day, it's possible to see them with the naked eye.

The Kent music scene has spawned some diverse acts -- from the hard dance/rock sounds of Dink to the swingy/ska sounds of TwistOffs to the reggae grooves of First Light.
Now, another Kent band, Osmosis, which doesn't have much in common with the aforementioned bands, has released its debut, "Music" (Osmoco).
Bottom line: Osmosis shows a lot of promise and talent on their debut, "Music." The band should continue to explore the darker, jazzier melodies that they touch on with this release -- that is their strong point.

There are five members of the band all of whom have much experience in the entertainment field.
Over the ensuing years they have spread their wings and have appeared at holiday parks for British Holidays as far away as Poole in Dorset, have worked in many of the British Army bases in the Salisbury area and played many of the clubs in the Luton area.
