Kent School is an independent (private) co-ed prep school in Kent, Connecticut, established in 1906 by The Reverend Frederick Herbert Sill, a member of the monastic Order of the Holy Cross.
Kent's mascot is the Lion, and its motto is Temperantia, Fiducia, Constantia, a not-quite-accurate Latin translation of "Simplicity of Life, Directness of Purpose, Self-Reliance." It is located in a picturesque setting between the Appalachian Trail and the Housatonic River with mountains rising behind its playing fields.
Kent School is a member of the Founders League composed of the most prestigious New England prep schools.

Kent State's School of Technology has a new distance learning classroom, thanks in part to AMETEK, Inc. The Kent Company gave the School a five-year, $75,000 grant, which is being used to upgrade technology facilities in Van Deusen Hall.
Kent State officials recently presented AMETEK officials with a plaque to be displayed in the new classroom.
The Distance Learning room will be used to provide instruction for technology students at all eight Kent State campuses, and can also be used in conjunction with AMETEK's computer learning center at its Lake street plant.
