Kentucky's Film Office, which acts as a liaison between local officials and production companies when they're in Kentucky hopes to duplicate recent successes in bringing blockbuster films to the Bluegrass State but says lawmakers need to take action by offering better incentives to effectively compete with other states.
Kentucky benefits from the money crews pay for lodging and also from crew members who use their free time spending money while exploring the state.
In effect, scenes of Kentucky in a movie serve as a big billboard for the state when it is aired in theaters, inviting tourists to explore the state, said Department of Tourism Commissioner Randy Fiveash.

The strengthened links with Northern Kentucky could translate to increased funding for the film commission, which several years ago was on the brink of closing.
One of its early succeses was the 1988 film ''Rain Man,'' which prominently featured scenes shot at St. Anne's convent in Melbourne, a cemetery in Campbell County, Pompilio's Restaurant in Newport and the Suspension Bridge.

The film strings up an array of skits that range from a few seconds to almost 30 minutes in length each.
All in all, there are undoubtedly moments were some people feel offended by the material presented, but the bottom line of the film is, that this is just the work of a bunch of young filmmakers who wanted to have fun.
So when watching this film, please keep in mind that most of the poor image quality has to be attributed to the original elements rather than Anchor Bay’s contributions to this DVD.
