The Kenza is designed to emulate a type of spellcaster almost never seen in d20 but often seen in anime and Japanese-themed video games.
I think this might be where some of the confusion rests- you're trying to force the class into a sorcerer-like role and it doesnt want to go there.
The Kenza is powerful, but its not like most casters presented for d20 and so might take a different mindset than what you're normally used to.
