Adonal Foyle, a native of St. Vincent & the Grenadines and professional basketball player for the Orlando Magic, founded the Kerosene Lamp Foundation (KLF) in 2005.
The name "Kerosene Lamp" refers to the lighting used by Adonal at night to study on an island without electricity and symbolizes his mission to brighten the futures of today youth.
As part of his efforts with the Kerosene Lamp Foundation and NBA Cares, Adonal met with 100 children from the New Orleans Housing Authority, a long standing community partner of the New Orleans Hornets; prior to the Magic's game at the New Orleans Arena.

I consider the Angle Company Lamps to be the pinnacle of kerosene wick lamp development, they are unique in design and fit the Steampunk aesthetic.

This lamp doesn't have a flat wick like you are accustomed to seeing in a kerosene lamp.
Unlike the kerosene lamps you are used to using, the light for this lamp doesn't come off the wick.
Even though the lamp does put out a very small amount of carbon monoxide, it is such a small amount that it's safe to burn it in the house, unlike a white gas lantern.
