During opening statements to jurors, a prosecutor said Scott Frederic Harrison shot 44-year-old Phillip Perry in 1992 at the request of a close friend, who plotted the killing after learning his wife and the deacon were having an affair.
Kersey also told jurors on Tuesday that she will prove Harrison licked the seals of two envelopes that were sent to Perry's wife and church after he disappeared.
The letters purported to be messages from Perry explaining that he needed time away, but were, in fact, sent by Harrison and DiTommaso to cover their tracks, Kersey said.

The term Shenks Ferry as related to a particular prehistoric group or groups of people was coined after excavations were conducted in 1930 by Donald Cadzow near the deserted village of Shenks Ferry in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania (Graybill, Heisey and Kinsey 1971).
If we examine the location of the rockshelter sites it is interesting to note that all were located on or near through corridors which were likely used as trails to sally back and forth between the drainages.
The prehistoric inhabitants of the region also occupied numerous upland rock shelters as they were fairly comfortable and secure, offering shelter from the elements.

 Descendants of PHILIP KINSEY
John Kinsey died August 14, 1677, before the purchase was completed, and at a court held at Upland (now Chester), Pa., on November 12, 1678, Laurenz Cock appeared before the Justice and made formal acknowledgement of his deed of conveyance to Elizabeth Kinsey, daughter of John, and heir to the land.
Some sources say that John Kinsey was John Kinsy of Burlington NJ who was the son of John Kersey, alias Kelsey, who was a commissioner of the West New Jersey Society and who came to this country in 1677.
John Kersey's death is recorded in the Philadelphia Monthly Meeting records; it occurred soon after his arrival and he was buried in Burlington.
