Kevin started playing piano and singing back up vocals in bars and restaurants around the Washington D.C - Baltimore area at the age of 16 with his cousins variety band, as well as sneaking into many open mic nights around the area.
It was this band and it's members that gave Kevin the creative outlet, the experience and the confidence he needed to begin his life long passion of writing music and lyrics.
Kevin opened for such acts as Ben Fold Five, Kool and the Gang and the band Chicago on their 35th anniversary tour.

Obviously everybody in the cast is trying to upstage everybody else, and the clear winner is Kevin Kline, who not only can figure out how to use his real voice when preparing for an important conversation but refuses to wear his contact lenses in scenes that require him to read off the teleprompter.
