		Sheedy started his career with Hereford United followed by a short spell with Liverpool where he made two league appearances before switching to Everton for £100,000 in 1982.
		Sheedy's greatest achievements were as part of the Everton team which in 1984 won the FA Cup, in 1985 and 1987 won the Football League Championship and also in 1985 the European Cup Winners' Cup.
