Kevin Smith followed this by jumping to DC Comics, producing a 14 issue run on Green Arrow that saw the return of Ollie Queen from the dead and the introduction of a new female "Speedy" character.
Smith has always attributed the mentions of homosexuals or homosexual behavior in his films to his older brother Donald Smith, who is openly gay and always felt he could never see himself or any homosexual represented on the big screen.

This disc is intended for fans of Kevin Smith’s work, not only theatrically (though the predominance of filmgoers and film-related questions on this disc are easily seen) but in his work on comic-books and other aspects as well.
Smith is a very good-natured guy for the most part and defends himself in a lot of ways.

For those unaware, Smith was given the difficult task of penning a script for the next Superman installment.
As Smith points out, the documentary was from Prince’s point of view and it really didn’t make sense for Smith to be the “voice.” Prince’s producer is quick to point out that Prince lives in “Princeland” (probably somewhere near Neverland) where logic doesn’t always make sense (nor camels).
