The initiative was spurred by KeySpan's partner, Gloucester-based Action Energy, which has a $600,000-a-year contract from KeySpan to help the state's low-income population reduce their energy bills -- whether they buy from the publicly traded natural gas giant or from the small businesses that sell home heating oil.
"Keyspan did such a poor job" with its trenches, said Knowlton, that the budged cost of the repaving was too low, forcing the city to seek authorization to borrow $600,000 to finish the job.

I hadn't gone to KeySpan Park in three years, probably because of what Yogi said: "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded." Well, it's still crowded, but even if the game is sold out (and many are), you can find tickets outside easily.
The park is located on Surf Avenue in Coney Island, a world famous beach resort area that had experienced a spiral of deterioration over the past several decades.
The park is configured to roughly resemble the departed Ebbets Field, with seating on three sides of the square.

I can't really say that I'm much a Phishhead but Johnny and I went to the Phish concert last night at Keyspan Park.
The first song or two, I was just taking in the atmosphere, but after it hit me, I understood why Phish concerts, even if you're not a fan of theirs, can be so enjoyable.
Keyspan also has this remarkable smoke system that seems to form flumes of smoke all over the field.

Since Bjork played a show on the 22nd in Keyspan Park also, I checked out people's comments about the show so get an idea of what to expect (crappy obstructed view seats very far away from the stage) and what the security would be like (somewhat lax).
