Keynsham (pronounced "CANE-sh'm"), is a town between Bristol and Bath in south west England.
Traditionally a town in the county of Somerset, Keynsham was part of the shortlived Avon county before its dissolution and now resides in Bath and North East Somerset.
Between Keynsham and Saltford, an area of green belt has been planted as the Manor Road Community Woodland and was designated as a Nature Reserve in 2005.

However as with most sports clubs throughout the country, the members of Keynsham RFC have been shocked by the events in Asia and have therefore decided to widen the scope of the concert to include the Tsunami Disaster Appeal Fund.
The club also has a personal interest in that Keynsham member, Brett Thompson, who is employed as a tour guide in Thailand, has decided to remain in Thailand to assist friends and work colleagues who have been affected by the tragedy.
Ian Tweedie, club secretary, said: “Keynsham feels that the concert which has been arranged for months is an opportunity for the residents of Keynsham and district to make a contribution towards the disaster fund whilst also enjoying a pleasant evening of music provided by a very accomplished choir.”

A branch of the Saunders family flourished in Keynsham, Somerset from at least the early 16th century down into the 19th century.
A Thomas Saunders of Chewton Keynsham died leaving a will in 1528, so far the earliest reference to the family found in the parish.
Other researchers have tentatively linked this Thomas to a contemporary of the same name in the Surrey branch of the family, but it may be that he represents an independent Saunders line, established in the Bristol area and possibly antecedent to the Keynsham one.

Keynsham Youth Theatre was set up with aim of teaching theatrical skills, and to perform in public using those skills.
