  KHAFRA - Services
One of the tasks headed by KHAFRA is to maintain the City’s mapping database pertaining to sewers and manholes.
KHAFRA is currently supporting Augusta-Richmond County in its goal to update its GIS with data from over 12,000 legacy as-built drawing documents and 1,500 miles of water mains in the water system.
KHAFRA captured more than 12,000 water mains and 5,000 sewer lines during the first phase of this project and is presently integrating information from an additional 4,000 record drawings into the database.

Khafra also adopted the title Son of Ra (sa Ra), which his half-brother had initiated to reflect the importance of the cult of the sun god Ra at this time.
Although a little smaller than his father's, Khafra's pyramid was built on slightly higher ground, to lessen the difference in height.
Khafra's pyramid complex is also the most complete example of such a complex to have survived.

Khafra - EbonyBay News | African American News | Black News
While the Turin King List figure for his reign as lost in a lacunae, and Manetho's exaggerates his reigh as 66 Years, most scholars believe it was between 24 to 26 Years, based upon the date of the Will of Prince Nekure which was carved on the walls of this Prince's mastaba tomb.
The will is dated anonymously to the 12th Count and is assumed to belong to Khafra since Nekure was his son.
Khafra built the second largest pyramid at Giza, the Great Sphinx and a temple, which is the only surviving example of a temple of this Dynasty of the Old Kingdom.

 Sphinx Theories - Crystalinks
Khafra is known to have ordered the building of twenty-two stone structures that were more than three times life-size, but the largest is believed to be the Great Sphinx.
The Sphinx's link with Khafra therefore continues to be the most widely held view by Egyptologists, but other hypotheses exist.
Dobrev suggests it was built by Djedefre in the image of his father Khufu, identifying him with the sun god Ra in order to restore respect for their dynasty.

This and an adjacent temple to the south, known as the "Khafra Valley Temple," originally stood close to the Nile river.
Schoch noticed that the limestone blocks on the Sphinx and Khafra Valley Temples were similarly eroded and that some of the refacing stones appeared to have been form-fitted to the eroded blocks behind them.
Statues of Khafra found in his Valley Temple also seemed to associate the complex with Khafra, and the Sphinx head was assumed to be his as well.

The Pyramids and Temples of Gizeh by Sir Flinders Petrie - Historical Notes
Khafra * has, on the strength of the historians, been considered by most writers as the builder of the Second Pyramid but there was, till lately, no monumental evidence on this point.
About three years ago, however, the great causeway was discovered which led from the lower granite temple, where the statues of Khafra were found, to the upper temple by the Second Pyramid.
Next, looking at the historical side of the question, this Pyramid (as all writers are agreed) cannot be earlier than the Pyramids of Khufu and Khafra, by reason of its inferiority of position; the poorer site was accepted for it, in a way that clearly stamps it as being later.

And in the case of basalt statue of Khafra the writing style of his name is obviously rough.

One of the book’s stronger elements is the portrayal of the Khafra, whose intriguing culture is based on the pairs of their symbiotic immune-exchange relationships, and whose mythology holds important truths about New Ascension (the human colony, whose peculiar religious convictions and rigid social structure aren’t adequately explained, is much less convincing).

World Mysteries - Mystic Places - The Sphinx
The Khafra Valley Temple is built into a causeway leading to the Khafra Pyramid, and the center court of the Sphinx Temple is nearly identical to the center court of the Khafra Mortuary Temple.
It may be inferred that if other Khafra structures and the Sphinx Temple dated to the same time, then the excavation of the Sphinx itself dated to that time as well.
The resemblance between the Sphinx Temple court and the Khafra Mortuary Temple court, and the other arguments for treating the Sphinx as part of the Khafra complex, do not in Schoch's view preclude the possibility of two stages in the construction of the Sphinx, the Sphinx temples, and also the Khafra Mortuary Temple.

The California Institute for Ancient Studies - List of Dynasties
According to Dr. Hawass, Khufu, Khafra and Menkaure represented the support system which made the construction of the pyramids possible.
By this chronology, the total period of Dynasty IV was encompassed by the sole reigns of Khufu and Khafra, and the total reign of Menkaure; the remaining kings had reigns that fell entirely within the reign of Menkaure.
The total for the dynastic period was thus 135 years (not to scale), excluding Soris (Shaaru) who may have been a progenitor of the dynasty but who belongs to the era of the decadent phase of Dynasty III.
